Best Father’s Day EVER! (via dickdavid)
Today, my daughter decided to take a ride with me. It was a bit slow and we didn’t go very far, but I don’t care. I got to share one of my favorite things with my little girl. I’ll never forget this father’s day.

Seen this on Bike Hugger. I love how IPA and cool poster chick labeling come together.

Mister Softee Is In Texas

Growing up in Ohio in the mid 70s, I was fortunate enough to experience a proper neighborhood ice cream delivery. Mister Softee had the cleanest trucks with the nicest drivers. The best thing about them was that they delivered SOFT SERVED ice cream on cones.

Moving to Texas,  we left this all behind as a distant childhood memory - until just recently when Joe McSweeny decided to bring it to Texas. Now, I just have to figure out a way to bring his truck to my neighborhood and any events I might be attending.

I read about “Panda” shots on the Change Your Life, Ride A Bike Blog. I’ve seen these types of shots all the time, but never knew there was a term that was used for them. I guess these are what you would call the cycling equivalent to a “Facebook” or “MySpace” shot, where you take one of yourself from arm’s distance away. Here is the official description from the flickr group:

“Why are these called “pandas?” Well, ya see, there’s this rad chick who goes by the name faster panda kill kill. She takes rad self-portraits while riding her bike. They are so rad, in fact, that a group was formed to record similar self-portraits cuz, really, just about anyone who has a camera and rides bikes also takes these self-portraits.”
